Green accounts
According to Danish law Novo Nordisk is obligated to publish green accounts for the following five production areas in Denmark: Bagsværd, Gentofte, Hillerød, Kalundborg, and Måløv.
The purpose of green accounts is partly to share information with the public on the environmental aspects and impacts of the company, and partly to inspire the company to work systematically with environmental improvements.
The green accounts include information on the company and its significant environmental aspects and impacts, including:
- a statement from the management
- information on development within environmental key areas for the last five years
- summary of the company's self-regulatory control compared with the authorities' approval conditions.
The accounts are prepared on an annual basis by our corporate environmental department in cooperation with the environmental coordinators and other key persons in the five production areas for submission by 1 June the following year.
The green accounts are only available in Danish.
