Next steps
The recruiting manager evaluates applications and selects candidates for interview. The number of interviews varies according to the type of job and the number of applicants. Typically, a successful candidate will attend 2-3 interviews before signing a contract.

For some jobs the second interview involves an assessment tool – in the form of a business case, an ability test and/or a personality questionnaire. When the interviews are over, candidates are evaluated and the best-qualified candidate receives a job offer.

All applications and test results will be destroyed after six months.

The cover letter
A cover letter offers you an opportunity to describe why you are right for for the job This is our first impression of you, and this is where your character can shine through.

We advice you to make your cover letter job specific. If you are applying for more than one position, rewrite each letter carefully, directing it to the specific vacancy.

To stand out from the other candidates we encourage you to explain your reasons for applying and how your skills and personality traits meet the requirements of the position in question.

The resume
We ask for resumes to get a more detailed overview of your career and qualifications. We appreciate resumes that give a brief and accurate account of your professional career with special focus on the aspects you consider most likely to be relevant for the position you are applying for.

The CV should include your personal data (name, address, email and telephone number) as well as your educational background and practical experience from previous jobs.

To support the resume, we also ask you to enclose a copy of relevant educational diplomas.

In general you will have two or three job interviews before possibly being offered a position.

Interview preparation
Prior to the interview we suggest that you study our company by reading our website and media commentary. You can also talk to people you may know who works here.

Prepare for the interview by reminding yourself of the things you have done that can help you demonstrate the skills and qualities we are looking for. We advice to think of specific examples. Also think about questions you may want to ask us at the interview.

The interview
The purpose of the interview is to see how you would fit into our culture and organisation and what you could bring to the job. We want to know why you want to join Novo Nordisk and why you think you would be successful in this position.

Remember to ask us questions you may have about the job or our company. It is important that you feel adequately informed to make a qualified decision if you are offered the position.

Examples of assessment tools could be business cases, ability tests and personality questionnaires.
